Yes correct but pedantic. My stamp says Retirement, but it allows me to stay in the kingdom. So in my mind it’s a form of visa.

I have a visa stamp in my passport that says ‘Retirement Visa’

Just got to Google and type in Thailand retirement visa and the information is all there

I used net last time I applied for my 12 month retirement visa extension. But yeah, they didn’t check the supporting proof of income I provided. They only looked at the stat dec witnessed by my Embassy.

No, this a new 10 year visa that was introduced in August last year. Similar to retirement visa but no need to be renewed every twelve months, however, 90 day reporting is still required and there is an additional requirement for proof of health insurance

You should substantiate your claims in writing from an official source. Now build a bridge and get over it. There’s more important things than whether or not you can get a drivers license on a 30 day tourist stamp. Who really cars, and why would you want to get a Thai license if potentially you’re only here for 30 days anyway? And BTW, correct spelling is license not licence.

Therefore, by definition, there’s no correct answer

Good on you. You’ve done well.

Oh sorry, I thought Pattaya was the ONLY place in Thailand. Guess I’m wrong again. Anyway, I’ve got a Thai License so I don’t really care about anyone else.
