Well, in my case it wasn't, clever guy. The CM immigration officer neglected to stamp the additional 9 days I'd paid 1900 baht for. I even had the receipt at BKK airport. I then went to immigration in CM where their attitude was the same as yours. Initially, at least. They then soon changed their tune when they realised it was, in fact, their error.
If you never intend to return to Thailand then that's ok. Otherwise I would do all I could to avoid having an overstay stamp in your pp. I have one and it wasn't even my fault!
I just spoke to some agents. Basically, things could change tomorrow so I think your idea's a good one. That still doesn't give me enough time but is better than applying for an ed visa that immigration reject. Where are you going? Are you doing a land crossing or flying? I think I may just fly.
Hi Mike, I'm in exactly your position and not vaxxed. I did quarantine to reenter early 2022 but am not even sure if that option will be available. And it was costly.
Yes. I can extend but then I only get 30 days and reentry may not be so smooth - especially as I plan to be in BKK or Cm for 7 months. Hence the desire to have the TV.
It's an English expression. I was in CM for about 7 months. And, yes, I did get in during Covid. It was a mission - the cost of the quarantine hotel didn't help.. Anyway, don't stress on my account. I've been getting in and out of Thailand twice a year since 2015 so I will work out a way. But things are definitely not easy these days.
I've almost lost the will to live here! Tried an OA - so many criteria to be met. Thai insurance as well as my own insurance. Moved on to Tourist V but can't seem to meet all those criteria either! May just go for a visa exemption on arrival. Had enough!
