no, the non B single can either be extended for a total time of 1 year or you have to leave the country and get a 1 year non-B multiple after the initial 3 month visa. The non-B multiple is very common on the islands in the south while in other parts of Thailand people seem to be on a 1-year extension. Almost every business owner in Koh Phangan does border runs every 90 days. It's simply the maximum amount of time you are allowed to stay.
Ah, I see. It's not possible to get an extension of stay for the 1 year multiple entry non-B. You will have to get a brand new one but I had the same problem earlier this year as the work permit has to be valid for at least 8 months to be issued a new one. You can extend the wp earliest a month before expiry. No, I'm not a teacher, I run a hostel.
Is that a non-B multiple? If so, you have to apply for a new one but since your wp expires in December you can only get a single entry for 3 months I believe.
Just to give an update: It did actually take me only 40mins to get from Sathorn to Chaengwattana with a taxi. Over there I had to fill out the visa transfer form & the visa extension form at the same time (only one queue no.) but the process was separated. They did actually transfer the visa and I got a tourist visa stamp in my new passport with the regular "admitted until" date and afterwards stamped the extension with the new "admitted until" date. Whole process took maybe an hour as I got there quite late, a little after 3pm (Picking up passport took much longer than I expected).
The way back to central Bangkok was 2,5 hours in a taxi though. Fun. Not. 🤣
The letter is for immigration I've been told and I had to pay 25€ for it. They said to transfer visa but I guess it's just like Robert said and what matters is the stamp (in my case) as my setv is used anyway.
Yes. So even if it takes double time from what google says, I should still be fine getting a number at around 15:00. I wanna book a flight back at 8am next morning, that's why I need to make sure to get it done same day after picking up the passport. If anything goes wrong I can still do the whole process in Samui though I guess.
