Can my husband apply for a 1-year extension on a Non-O spouse visa during a short visit to Thailand?

I would like to suggest if both of you have the marriage certificate can try to apply for Non-O visa at the Embassy of Thailand in US.

There have some documents need to prepare for the application.

I’m not sure Embassy Thailand in US will be approve 90 days or 1 year.

After be in Thaialnd can apply for extend VISA. For between the day before apply extend VISA, try to complete your marriage certificate in Thailand, apply bank account for your husband.

Or else just apply retired VISA.

The VISA requirement is different of Spouse VISA vs Retired VISA
