Yes, just announced in todays BKK Post, those visa are now 90 days for patients of 5 Asian countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) as well as those from China.

Personally, NO, but I have spoken to someone that had difficulties being approved for a visa via an Embassy due to repeated overstay stamps and those were relatively short overstays, but it showed a repeated pattern of "abuse"....
