Did you read those instructions, and are you sure every office interprets them in the same way? Why should OP lie about this?

When you were in Chiang Mai, TM 30 should show that and TM47 should be done in Chiang Mai. Just a poor excuse to break the rules.

All documents that are not asked in the application form at the website are irrelevant till they ask for it. What is wrong with only providing that information, let them check if it is OK, and wait for them to ask if they need more. It makes handling applications much more effective. Would you like to look to 20 documents and check if you only need 2? Basically the documents asked in the application are more or less sufficient, that is why they were there.

they still might fine you when you have your next interaction at immigration office as you know. It is not up to you to decide if the 90 days is useful, it just is a rule you have to follow. Personally I think TM47 is completely useless, TM30 also tells where you are and without TM30 you cannot do even TM47. But knowing you stay over 90 days and have to be reporting, and also knowing you can be fined for that like you do, just looks very disrespectful to me.

For now I agree, especially because immigration offices do not have much routine with DTV extensions.

When they get more routine and you fully comply with the visa requirements the in country extension might be cheaper and easier.

Give me just one good reason why you should upload more than is asked for.

Remember that not always more is better.

When they see a lot of documents they are not interested in and did not ask for, they might just ask you to send the documents they are interested in, and don't want to spoil their time by looking at all the unwanted stuff, something what obviously happened in this case.

I applied in my home country and just send what was asked for, they asked for one extra document which I did send. Total processing within a week, but totally unimportant because I applied 2 months before travel, and we don't talk here about how lang an application takes, but about sending unwanted documents.

Anonieme deelnemer And that means they know you have contact with all kind of other people, which is not always an advantage, since your application is not any longer you composed by yourself.

It might not harm, but it also was not necessary and is not making your application any better.

Why did you supply much more than is asked? That might trigger them to look extra carefully.

@Kyaw ****
So you decided to break the rules while you know you might be fined now with your next immigration interaction?

@Jamie *******
They will not fine you at the airport
