I just returned from Hong Kong and was at immigration today. All they did was stamp the new entry date in the form stapled in my passport from back when my landlord did the initial reporting when we signed the lease. It seems that you only have to do the TM 30 immediately after signing a new lease or new address, then they staple the bottom part of the tm30 to your passport and you only have to take it in to be updated if you leave the country. I didn’t need anything other than my passport with original tm30 “receipt” stapled in.
