 I would say not overthinking.... Better to ask and be specific than gung ho and run into troubles. I guess he's looking beyond the end of his nose and planning where to go and perhaps booking accommodation too so why not ask to seek reassurance he can go ahead with his plans for the extra days

What is the status of the extended amnesty for visas in Thailand until July 31st?

I'm guessing that anyone still on a covid-19, "under consideration" stamp (I got 20 days with this stamp) is still going to need to go and get the visa extended and turned into a legitimate extension of stay (a further 10 days in my case)? My "under consideration" stamp is up tomorrow.

What should I do about my Thai visa during the blanket amnesty period?

Also hoping to get an answer to this as I was given a 20 days, under consideration stamp and told to return then to recieve the extra 10 days. I'm wondering if they'll charge another 1,900 Baht for the extra ten days (a bit unfair when many others got a free ride until the end of the month)
