Will I be charged for an additional 10-day extension of stay in Thailand?

ORIGINAL POSTER
I recieved a 20 day Covid-19 extension of stay 'under consideration' visa last month and was told to return on 22 April to recieve a further 10 days. I'm planning to go on that date as I understand now that the automatic extension until 30 April doesn't count (confusing!). What I want to know is if they're going to try and charge me another 1,900 Baht for the extra ten days. Can anyone who's already been through this please clarify? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about a potential fee for a 10-day extension of stay granted under special COVID-19 circumstances. Previous comments suggest that the extension may be free, depending on the specifics of the 'under consideration' status. Clarification is sought from those who have navigated a similar situation.

consider yourself lucky-- those of us long-stayers with a history of tax payments, work permits, own insurance, savings/fixed accounts get a whopping 28 days

you should be on a one year extension of stay

what does that even mean?

okay an under consideration stamp means exactly that, the extension you applied for and paid for is under review. Go back on the date in your passport that the stamp expires get the rest of your "up to 30 day extension based on embassy request" FREE.

With that being said, SOME offices are telling people with those under-consideration stamps that they don't need to come back and are indeed covered until the 30th.

BUT

I'd say if you can go back do it and see what your office does.

The good news is none of the offices are crowded at all they're ghost towns and you should be able to get your answer in just a few minutes.
