Can I stay for the full duration of my Tourist e-visa in Thailand despite the indicated length of stay being only 43 days?

Hi guys, I recently had my Tourist e-visa approved in the UK through the London embassy. However, I just have one question. On the certificate that I received through my email, it has a section that states ‘Length of stay in Thailand - 43 days’. I believe this is correct, my arrival date will be the 14th of October and my departure the 25th of November. This is due to the fact that I wanted to have proof of an outbound flight so I’d have no trouble with the airline or immigration. Am I still permitted to stay for the full 60 days of the Tourist visa and then extend for another 30? My initial plan was to change the dates for my return flight so I could stay for the full length of the visa. But now I’m concerned that I can only stay for 43 days.

Im probably overthinking this, and it’s just showing the length of stay that I’ve chosen to make things easier for the immigration in Thailand to prove that I’m not overstaying, but I just want to be sure.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about their Tourist e-visa stating a length of stay of 43 days, while their actual plan is to arrive in Thailand for 60 days with a potential 30-day extension. A comment reassures them that the stay indicated reflects their booked travel, but upon entry, they will typically be granted a full 60-day stay as per the Tourist visa regulations.

good question. they did that because that is the onward travel proof you submitted when you applied.

Be that as it may when you come in you'll get stamped in for 60 days like everyone on a tourist visa does

Option to extend in country still available if required?

A person can still get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism in country as normal :)

I would say not overthinking.... Better to ask and be specific than gung ho and run into troubles. I guess he's looking beyond the end of his nose and planning where to go and perhaps booking accommodation too so why not ask to seek reassurance he can go ahead with his plans for the extra days

as new as this e-visa system is (and the fact that so far NO people have actually ENTERED the country on it) I will amend my comment and agree with you in part. BUT I think he's gonna hafta show up to see what they say.
