here is where the problem lies. From my experience the Bank will take pre counted and bagged change in the correct denomination but will charge. Nobody I know has ever done that. Spend spend spend. I will never understand why there are no change machines here, well not that I’ve ever seen one

I was visiting Vietnam for 1 trip and paying 1,000 baht but immigration offered a multi entry for 3,800. I didn’t have enough on me. Friend said if I’d done that I would have had to leave every 90 days as apposed to only when I wanted to holiday. Seemed stupid to me as would cost a fortune to keep leaving

Robert Lagas yes but immigration offered me multi for 3,800 instead of a single entry, which is what I was requesting. I declined due to funds on the day but a friend later said” good job you didn’t do multi entry as you would have had to leave Thailand every 90 days instead of just requesting the obligatory extension over the local counter
