This is news to me. The 65k monthly, meaning how much money one transfers to a Thai bank every month? Or do ATM withdrawals count toward that?

The reason I ask is because I never use the money transfer companies. Only withdraw from ATMs when I need cash.

Wise seems to be the most recommended.

I don't yet have a Wise account. Can I get one while living in Thailand? US citizen here

Note, I tried before covid to get a Wise account and was denied because they only open new accounts that have a USA address and they also wanted a utility bill for that address with my name on it. I don't have any address in America and nothing in my name so I gave up on Wise. Have they changed their policies regarding new accounts?
