Just another mean spirited farang that seem to have inundated these groups and Thailand in generl. He doesnt want to help, advise you or even be a decent human being. Ash like so many of the expats (but of course not all) just want you to feel as sad/ bitter/ mean as they are.

Btw your budget is fine, just track your spending and things will even out as you go.

thank you, I have taken your advice and booked 2 nights accom in bkk.

To clarify at this point I am a genuine tourist. Im just lucky to have around 10mths to do it in.

It is my intention to obtain a more suitable visa in the next few weeks utilising a visa agent.

The Thai evisa site said thats what I needed to do. As it was my 1st trip to Thailand, I wanted entry to go smoothly.

Now I know its not neccessary to do.
