Hua hin was also smooth last year for me..chonburi immigration is a fucking zoo. Chabgwattana is better. It may be worth it to take the ferry to hua hin or maybe go up to korat for a few days and do it there.. definitely not going to Pattaya again if it can be avoided

Swedish.There is a fair amount of stamps in my passport. No denied entry anywhere ever in my life. i do have like 5 days overstay in thailand a couple of years ago. My permission to stay in malaysia was cut a bit shorter then the usual 90 days.
