What Are the Requirements for Crossing the Border into Thailand via Koh Lipe or Padang Besar?

This may be just common sense but anyhow. Koh lipe border crossing may demand 10k baht, confirmed hotel booking for your stay in Thailand and ticket out of the country. This was true for me, I have history of coming to Thailand and SE Asia on extended winter vacations for the last few years but I was definitely more singled out for the potential of bringing in a fine rather than the likelihood of me working here illegally..

Anyone used Padang besar or other slay/thai land crossing recently? How much of a complication is it to have entry denied stamp in your passport do you reckon?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers crossing into Thailand via Koh Lipe or Padang Besar may be required to present 10,000 to 20,000 baht in cash, confirmed hotel reservations, and a ticket out of the country. While experiences can vary, having these documents ready is crucial, especially if there is a history of denied entry stamps.

No one really knows what a Thai Immigration Officer will do. Your history is what it is. You know what is required. Have the 20,000 Thai baht CASH, your booking address, and ticket out of Thailand to show if asked.

What is your nationality?

Do you already have a denied entry stamp in your passport? If so from where ?

The amount of CASH which may be asked by Thai Immigration is 20,000 Thai baht...not 10,000 for an individual.
