Not everyone wants to live in old town or nimman. Some people want to have a house and land and be away from traffic. Just because you're a travel vlogger that lives in a studio condo doesn't mean that's what other people want.

Try living in Mae Rim or Doi Saket or Sansai or San khamphaeng with a family and not be Thai. And be new to Thailand and just have a motorbike.

All of those places are part of the metropolitan Chiang Mai area.

CM is a small town? 😭🤣🤣🤣🤣

It's a large metropolitan area with things very spread out unless you want to limit your entire existence to old town and nimman. It also has very intense rainy season. Not fun at all with just a motorbike. Especially for a person new to Thailand.
