Who said it was the only criteria? And yes if anyone wants to learn then can learn fluently within 1 year and they will also pass the primary 6th grade language test after 1 year of language studies. But only if they are serious in learning.

Acording to international airport policys they should not split up families. In the EU and US if a family member does not have the required passport for the line it is still okay. However if the little Hitler as some of you called them still says no make a stand and argue with them or just take the entire family to the other larger line. Thailand as a developing country needs to learn international standards and the only way for them to learn is to say no, argue and ask them why not. If their small brains only say no sir sorry just continue asking why and that you demand an explanation. This asking why is regards to anything even peewee brains outside of Thailand who cant give you an explanation. Good luck 😁

Well you should have learned thai fluently in only 1-2 years on an academic lvl and then having a non immigrant visa a few years I guess you could apply for a Residence permit.

I arrived in Bkk in December and in January I changed my visa exemption to a non Immigrant O (marriage) visa in Bkk. The law clearly states it is posible so you should questions the people working at that immigration office of yours 😉 I'll try to find the documets with requirements and upload them.

I pay 0 bath tax in Thailand since my salary comes from Sweden. However Sweden and Thailand has a law from 1988 regarding not have to have double taxations and that means one only have to pay tax in either country 😁
