I had a PE visa from the Thailand Elite program for 5 years it was completely free and there was no application fee.

Sorry about the not , I corrected it. Thai Visas are free. There is an application fee that is non refundable under any circumstance. Ask anyone who applied in Laos and was given a visa marked “void”. Did they get a refund for the visa they “bought”?

It doesn’t matter what you call it as long as you understand the limitations of what you are issued. For most countries visa exempt entries are not extendable. Thailand allows an extension of 30 day entries. Also you cannot buy a Thai visa. All Thai visas I know of are free. There is a application fee that is “non refundable under any circumstances”.

Asian airlines rarely ask or don’t care. I have flown to Thailand “dozens of times” visa exempt on one way tickets.

I’m worried Thailand Pass won’t be any easier but it is possible. The app Germany uses takes a few minutes for approval, probably automated!

It did in the very beginning of Sandbox. I had to prepay the testing through the hotel. Then upload receipt again even after I had paid 14 nights, another inefficiency. Somehow I was allowed to come to Phuket without prepaying for SHA+ approved airport to hotel transport!
