I searched on Safari with a laptop and had the experience of seeing Test and Go package with one test, but seemed Way too cheap. Called the Hotel to see if it included transportation. Actually it was 3x Price. The hotel said the AGODA listings were incomplete. As long as you can get a confirmation letter of prepaid reservation from Hotel but how do you do that when AGODA offers refundable booking? I’d advise just booking directly.

I saw a hotel I wanted there on Agoda or Booking but seemed to cheap. Called the Hotel reservation department directly. These sites were not displaying the proper package rates and do not provide the required documentation(paid receipt). Better book directly with hotel.

Cancel and find another hotel. You need a paid confirmation letter for the complete package including tests. Book directly with Hotel avoid these third party sites.

In Chiang Mai one used to see groups of cars from China even Motor Homes. There was some problem and it was banned. Can you drive from India normally?

Even on the Hippie Trail days I dont think the tribes could pass Burma overland. One would take a packet freighter to Penang, from Kolkata. Then shave beard, cut hair and decent clothes for entry to the Kingdom. "Thailand no Hippy"
