Not really. Both are a form of being disadvantaged. Gives the average white man a rather unique window into that mindset.

Find a "flexible" immigration agent. Many are. For a fee, they will accommodate you.

Unfortunately, Americans are going to be the most radioactive people on the planet for quite some time. Now, we will know what it feels like to be a black man, in the 1950's. I would not think mentioning it would make any difference. You are not in any of the acceptable categories. It is a waiting game. I need to get back to the US, but will not go, until the policies are better defined, and more permissible.
