Child born before 1990 that BOTH parents arent Thai isnt given Thai nationality automatically. The thai parent must proof and make a request for it to be changed. This law was then cancel several years later. Some kids born then were issue "used to be thai" extension. I had it
No. She will have to proof she is Thai. She needs at least birth certificate for that. I have had extension based on "used to be Thai" but my mom sorted out my citizenship later and that sorted it. However it was extremely difficult to do.
Hello. Im assuming that you want to get marry in Thailand. Once you get that document authenticated by your embassy you must go to Thai foreign affairs office at chaengwattana and get it translated and certified the translated verion. THEN you go to the district office to regis your marriage.
Im not saying you are wrong so just calm down with quoeting the law.
What im saying was longer term people will more than likely have to do it themselves cuz No land lord will go and do that but for tourists, a hotel will already have a system in place so immigration can keep track of the reporting. ( why am i fucking repeating myself here?)
Do you think an average tourists know to report when they come to thailand? Live in the real world a lil, shall we? Lets say someone is here to visit a friend and this friend is renting from someone else. How complicated would it be to report and do you think the landlord would even care to go to the immigration?
But never mind what i said cuz if the law is there everyone must be doing it.
If you dont report where you stay as a tourist you wont be fined or faced any consequences. Its the owner of the place you are staying responsibility. They will be fined if caught.
I recommend reporting if you are staying longer term other wise its fine.
I live in phuket. Just had a chat with immigration on Tuesday about this.
