When you're a teacher, the school has to prepare certain documents in thai for a specific consulate. If your school isn't aware of these recent happenings there's nothing you can do. I asked to go to a different consulate but all my documents were already prepared for Penang. The problem is schools not being informed of changes like this

Thanks everyone, my school wasn't notified/aware of the thai background check rule. I'm the first teacher that was asked for one apparently. Thanks for all your help.

Thank you! I was wrong, I thought you could only enter as a tourist 3 times a year, but that excludes airports. Didn't know that
