Hi, I am from Bangladesh. I entered Thailand with a tourist visa of 2 month which will expire on 15 March. During my visit I had a doctor appointment at Bangkok Hospital. They suggested one operation. If I get a recommendation from hospital to extend my visa for operation, will it be possible to extend my visa?

You have to check your Admitted until or permitted up to date in your passport.

IN CASE you have to stay longer in Thailand due to quarantine or other medical reasons, you need to notify the medical staff.

They can make a letter and visit on your behalf the Immigration Office with your passport and the fee to apply for an Extension of Stay based on medical reasons.

BE AWARE: This has to be done BEFORE you go on overstay, when you are on overstay there is nothing that can be done to avoid fines and depending on time a blacklist.

I had a 60 day extension, cost 1900 and will end 30 December. Am I able to extend it again? I have made an appointment at MTT in Bangkok.

My partner got in ICU 2 days ago and is very ill. I don’t want to risk that if I apply for extension that they’ll deny it and I need to leave him.

Hello everyone, 3 weeks ago I was in an accident and required surgery. My visa runs out in early May but the surgeon wants to see me 3 days after my visa expires. He wrote a letter confirming I have an appointment with him. I have been told if I give this letter to immigration they can give me a months extension and not have to go to Lao. Can anyone confirm this and the extension please.
