Is this enough for a medical visa extension? I went on the 15th sep to hospital. Haven’t seen any posts about medical related extensions. Anybody gotten a stamp from this? “Fit to fly” is not checked . Thanks 🙏🙏🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original post inquires whether a recent hospital visit is sufficient to obtain a medical visa extension. Several commenters provide insights: most agree that a mere hospital visit may not be adequate; a formal letter from a hospital stating the inability to fly due to medical reasons is generally required. Others note that using an agent can facilitate obtaining a medical visa, but caution against going to immigration without proper documents. The urgency of the situation is emphasized, with advice to avoid overstaying.
They have a Dr. at the sight who assess the condition. And she is a difficult one to convince. She will ask you to get a letter from the embassy. Only that will do the trick.
The doctor filled out an “official” form asking immigration to grant me a med visa. Bkk doc. I live in chiang mai.
Cnx immigration wanted a different form. (They actually wanted me to use a cnx doc. I kinda just said the bkk doc was the best. Better than any cnx doc for what i needed. )I brought that form to the doc. Doc said “this is the same form i sent”
I think it had the same info/request. But different.
My response, “doc, could you please fill out the new form. I know it is the same? But this is thailand”. Ha ha ha. No shit. I said that. He chuckled.
New form in hand. Immigration granted me a 90 day visa on the spot, No problem.
The big thing about that letter is "follow up" is not checked, so the hospital/doctor does not expect you back, as it is not that serious that they must see you again. It is pretty late, with only 3 days to go, even to get a flight, so expect to be on overstay, and everything that goes along with that.
Don't go in person, many immigration offices will refuse anyone who turns up themselves, on the basis that if they are well enough to get to immigration they are well enough to leave. Use an agent if you want this. It may be possible through an agent, they will be able to advise. They may want to go back to the hospital to get new/different documentation, or they may have other ideas. But don't go in person, that's a bad idea.
You can get a Medical visa with an agent (around 20k baht), or switch from Amnesty to Non-O (around 30k baht). It's probably too late for both. Broke foreigners are heading out, those with money went with an agent. It's sad but it's how it is.
Sorry but I’m not sure it would be enough. Generally you need a letter from a hospital that states you are not fit to fly because of XYZ reason. All I can say is go to immigration (Phuket Town not Patong) with what you have and see what happens. It will be busy. Get there early.
