what's the status on having extension by medical visa til 1 nov? Am I valid for the 60 days extension? Is there anyone who can't get the 60 days? Do I need embassy letter or anything else? I know it's 1900 thb. Going to immigration in samui tomorrow (tues). THANK YOU!

first we need to know;

Did you hand your passport and a pile of money to an agency who went and got a medical extension for you (probably from a province you don't live in from an office you don't use)

Did you get a letter from the hospital/doctor and go to the immigration office on your own and apply for the medical extension?

In that case you SHOULD be able to go to the immigration office and apply for a 60 day extension (without the embassy letter).

BUT

you should go to the office where you got the medical extension and ask them in person just to be sure :) Sorry but that's about the only way you'll know for certain. I'd go this week and ask them to make sure.

thank you. The immigration from Samui came to koh phangan last month so I assume it's the Samui office that issued it. I will go to tomorrow there.

it says right on the stamp whether it was Surat Thani OR Surat Thani (Samui)

yes, it was Surat Thani branch who came to Koh Tao, Koh Phangan and Central Festival Samui last month
