* Hi, I have a few questions, some probably dumb but I can't find answers easily. Firstly, is it possible to apply for the SETV while still in Thailand? That way one could get their approval letter, leave the country for a day or two and walk or fly back in. Also, about how many days does the application take to process? Finally, how many days does this 'Proof of Hotel or private accommodation booking' refer to? Do I need to show booking for the full 60 days? Thanks for any help...

And as it appears that you have been in Thailand for several years, be careful with seeking another visa in SE Asia. Likely to be DENIED .

And DO NOT FLY into Thailand. As you may be questioned by Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival .. WHY do you stay so long in Thailand?

A few not so dumb answers..

... No.. you cannot apply for a Thai tourist visa inside Thailand.

... You can go to a SE Asia country and apply for it.

... And IF you have a recent history of staying in Thailand, then your application for a Thai tourist visa may be declined.

... Read carefully what the requirements for the Thai tourist visa is for the Thai Embassy or Consulate which you will go to make a visa application.

... Meet the SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS for the visa and it's issued...

You can't apply for a tourist visa inside Thailand. None of the surrounding countries use the e-visa system so you need to visit a Thai embassy in a nearby country to get a tourist visa
