Hi folks,

I have SETV with 3 months of validity to enter the country before April 8th. I won't be able to do that. Is there any option to extend the visa or if I want to enter later I have to apply for a new one?

Any negatives I will have with the embassy when applying again, created by me not using the one they already gave me?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you cannot enter Thailand before the expiration date of your SETV, you cannot extend the validity of your unused visa. You will need to apply for a new tourist visa. Generally, there should not be any issues reapplying for a new visa, especially if you do so via an e-visa, but it's advisable to check with your embassy for specific requirements. Some embassies may have a limit on the number of tourist visas you can receive in a year.

You’ll need just to apply for a new tourist visa

and just call the embassy and explain your situation if you’re home. As you’re from Bulgaria you’re not entitled to visa exemption, just 15 days visa on arrival which can be extended with 7 days.

There is no visa extension for a VOA. What you are referring to is an "Extension denied, 7 days to leave Thailand" stamp which is not guaranteed

Ok, you are probably right. I just read this quite fast and it’s not an official site;

“Unfortunately, the visa on arrival can only be extended to 7 days at the Thai Immigration office. Should you wish to stay for a month more, then you may do a border run twice, each entry you will get 15 days or exit the country by land and reenter by air to get another 30-day stamp.”

You have been cheated, by a fake embassy website, that has nothing at all to do with a genuine Thai Embassy website.

It is a private firm, without any scruples about appearing as a Thai government website.

That alone should undermine any trustworthyness about that hoax website.

You cannot extend the validity of your unused visa. You'll have to apply for a new one.

Generally there shouldn't be any issues in you applying for a new one, especially if it's via e-visa but you'll need to check with your embassy to make sure. Some of the Thai embassy and consulates near to Thailand have a limit to how many tourist visas you can get in a year.
