Hi All, Im doing a border run to Singapore. I know from experience I dont have to go through SIN immigration at CHANGI in T4. Im returning on the same day a few hours later. Im unsure if Id have time to do this anyway...

Can you predict any issues considering I have an exit stamp from Thailand on the same day but no entry/exit from another country ie SIN?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around concerns regarding a border run from Thailand to Singapore. The original poster questions whether not receiving an entry stamp in Singapore could pose problems when returning to Thailand with only an exit stamp from Thailand. Participants clarify that many travelers, especially with automated systems, do not receive stamps when entering Singapore, and there may not be significant issues as long as the exit from Thailand is documented. Concerns about checking in for flights and the necessity of obtaining boarding passes at the counter are also raised.

Wouldn’t you need to check in to your flight at from Singapore on the other side of immigration?

good point but I think I should be able to check in online with no baggage. I will look more into this as I have had instances where they have insisted I check in at the counter instead without a clear reason why

I get boarding passes in my app or via email 90% of the time. Sometimes without explanation I have to go to the counter even without checked luggage.

Went to Singapore 5 weeks ago from Bangkok...all electronic at Singapore..only got stamped out in Thailand..just for your info Malaysia stamp in we flew from Singapore to KL..

Not an issue. I used to fly KL or Sing on one passport and return on another. In the old days of visa runs

I read "Not an issue", it is now

but that has absolutely nothing to do with the persons question. His question is about stamps in passport which is only an issue if on land borders

never did that i knew people that did though. Was my first visa run to penang back in 1988 used to like a weekend down there

I was under the impression you had to stamp out of Thailand, stamp into another country, stamp out of that country and then back to Thailand. Irs certainly the case at land borders so I don't see why air would be any different. You may have difficulty returning to Thailand.

Singapore doesn’t stamp most passports.

When I entered the US last time I didn’t get a stamp in fact I never took my passport out of my pocket as they use facial recognition. No one gets an exit stamp. You saying I can’t enter Thailand again. lol

😂

@John *******
it may not physically stamp them but you can be sure they know you entered the country

they scan your passport and I believe they also send an email with your stay permit

I'm not making anything up and I've no idea if thai immigration will ask for it or not. I'm just saying what happens at Singapore

I'm flying and they don't have access to other countries systems so it would just say I flew out of Thailand...
Graham ******
@Rob ********
but you didn't stamp into any other country so you cannot get a new entry stamp to Thailand, they will just cancel your exit stamp

thais have access to SIN records?

For most passports you don’t get a stamp when entering or leaving Singapore these days using the automated gates.

Also this is a border run not a visa run
