My friend just had this stamped in his passport at airport immigration in Phuket. He's flying to Singapore for a few days then returning. But unsure about the wording. Is this a standard exit stamp or anything to be concerned about? I think he intends on coming back for less than 30 days in a few days time. Thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The stamp your friend received at Phuket airport immigration is not a standard exit stamp, but rather an 'extension denied' stamp. This indicates that he was previously granted a visa or extension, which has now expired, requiring him to leave Thailand immediately. If he plans to return within 30 days, he should be cautious as this could affect future entries depending on the type of visa he intends to apply for.
if he just had a non immigrant visa they would give him this stamp, of if he already had a 30day extension on an tourist visa or visa exempt they will give this denial stamp stamp too.
Yep he's just told me he got that one too. I think just concerned about coming back in 2 days but if he has a flight to the USA within 30 days he should be fine
Thanks Tod, thats what I thought too. I think maybe he got mixed up. They didn't ask him anything. He last went to immigration on 8th which is weird it is stamped 5th but maybe they forgot to change the stamp
