TLDR : Answer Summary
A member of the community successfully obtained their Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) approved under the self-employment/business category. They shared their timeline beginning with the submission on October 6 and the eventual approval on October 14. Key documents submitted included the passport, company income proof, client invoices, bank statements, and tentative travel details. The post elicited congratulations and further inquiries from other community members regarding documentation and processes.
Anonymous participant 745 The approval process in India is quite slow, and you’ll likely need to make 2–3 visits to the embassy - for example, to deposit the visa fee and submit additional documents (via third party firm VFS). So, applying in Vietnam seemed more reasonable to me, but that’s just my opinion. You can definitely try applying through India as well!
Congrats. Question on Your tentative arrival date . You did not have to provide a confirmed airfare ticket at all? Did it require arrival and departure date on the DTV form?
You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight ✈️ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.
Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
