I'm gearing up for my yearly trip to Savannakhet for my "1 year multiple entry visa based on marriage." …Sorry. I’m not sure of the terminology.

Has anyone been there lately to get this visa? Is everything still running as usual?

Many thanks in advance

Hello all...

1 year Non-O (Marriage) Multi Entry from Savannakhet expires on October 16th. I'm currently in Thailand and while I understand I could still exit/enter to get another 90 days and extend a further 60 days. I'm currently quite "free" so figured I might as well get a new 1 year Non-O from Savannakhet as opposed to doing a border bounce and then finding work/travel getting in the way later.

I'm targeting to head to Savannakhet towards the end of the month (after the Non-O expires), but for (future) reference, is it possible to apply for a new Non-O _BEFORE_ the current Non-O expires?

Greetings!

First of all, I would like to thank you for your help so far, especially Brandon who helped me the most with information.

I have a few questions regarding the Non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai woman.

I'm planning to go to Savannakhet to apply for a Non-O visa, but I'm still undecided whether it should be a multi-entry or a single-entry visa.

Does anyone have experience of getting a single entry visa from Savannakhet multiple times in a row and extending it here in Thailand for 60 days, based on visiting a Thai wife?

That would give me 90 days + 60 days without having to leave Thailand.

That is, it would mean that every (about) 5 months I go to Savannakhet, get a single entry visa and extend it here for another 60 days.

Is it legal and could it be a problem with Thai immigration if I do it multiple times in a row?

I don't want to do a 1-year extension, because right now I can't afford it and I've invested the money in something else.

Regarding the multi entry visa, most of the things are clear to me, my question is about the following:

When I enter Thailand, I will get a stamp for 90 days of allowed stay in the country. If I leave Thailand before that "permitted to stay" date, can I re-enter again immediately after one day, or do I have to enter only after the "permitted to stay" date on the previous stamp expires?

Also, can I exit and enter Thailand on the same day?

Thank you.

Hello group! My 60 day extension will gonna expiere soon and i would like to apply for Thai marriage visa. From my understanding beside mariage certificate , tabien baan, photos, do i need to have 400k THB in my thai bank account for at least 2 months prior requesting the visa ?

I have been talking with a visa company (pick up point from Tesco Onut), that can do trips to Laos Savannakhet , they say that no need to show 2 months bank statement with 400k THB , just having a thai bank statement with 400k (no matter the period of time). Is this true ? Anyone in the same situation ?

Also if you can recommend me in PM about reliable visa service companies , i highly appreciate !!!

I read that if you go to Savannakhet to get a non-o based on marriage to a Thai you need to show blue book. What is that? We rent a condo in Pattaya so have a lease, and my wife's name is in an old brown, battered tabien baan up in the family home in Bueng Kan.

Warning to all South Africans - Vietnam...

I decided to do a VISA run to HCMC. Flew all the way here, they won't do it for South Africans. For some reason we need to prove that we are living/working in Vietnam to apply for a Thai Visa here. So now I have to hope for the best when I try get back into Thailand.

If you're South African, don't even try it.

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how long the police check done in Thailand is valid for? I did mine in early July and it took a while to get it and other documents. Going to Savannakhet next week to apply for non-b. Their website says "recent police check" document is required. Less than two months is recent to me, but is it recent enough?

In 2019 I have got 2 visa on arrival. One when I first arrived from Canada and one from a visa run I have done in Cambodia at Tray province.

In 2019 I never applied for tourist visa yet and I am planning to do it since my second Visa on arrival will end soon. This is a total of 4 months. Because I have extended both of my visa on arrival.

Am I OK to apply for tourist visa? All my TV are from 2017 and 2018. I don't have any in 2019 but since I already got 2 visa on arrival, I am not sure if I am eligible. I plan to apply at Savanaket with all the requirements.

Sorry my English! And thank you!

Good morning! Has anyone gone to Savannakhet recently to obtain a one-year marriage visa? If so, can you let me know how many days it took and if there are any special requirements other than the standard documentation. Also, is it necessary for my Thai wife to accompany me? Thank you in advance for your information!
