TLDR : Answer Summary
The user mistakenly booked an appointment in Vientiane but is currently in Savannakhet and wants to know if they can use their paperwork to apply for a Non-B visa there. Users suggest that if the documents are addressed to the Thai Consulate in Vientiane, they cannot use them in Savannakhet, and will need their company to issue new documentation. Alternatives like applying for a tourist visa are also discussed, along with the necessary requirements for that application.

, did they take the documents for the Non-B visa or did you apply for a tourist visa instead?

IF you have proof of funds (20K baht or the equivalent) in a bank account and proof of onward travel you should be able to get a single entry tourist visa there in Savannakhet, then come back, get new paperwork and go get the Non-B
CHECK your paperwork and see if it's addressed to Vientiane or Savannakhet. IF it's addressed to the thai consulate in Vientiane you can't use it in Savannakhet.
Get someone who can read thai to look at it if you can't tell. If it's addressed to Vientiane you're going to have to have your company re-issue paperwork addressed to Savannakhet..

From previous posts on here, if your paperwork is addressed to Vientiane, you cannot apply in Savannakhet.

What kind of visa are you applying for? Are the documents with you now addressed to the Thai Consulate in Vientiane? What is your passport country?
