TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is preparing to apply for a Non-O visa based on marriage at the Savannakhet consulate and is seeking current document requirements and form validity. Participants in the discussion recommend taking the original marriage certificate with copies, photos, wife's ID and housebook copies with signatures, and confirm a fee of 5000 baht for the application. There are steps mentioned about applying and picking up the visa the next day, as well as clarification on whether the wife must sign document copies.

the cost of a Lao visa on arrival varies by nationality and by whether you pay in USD or in Thai baht. The costs go from $42USD down to $20USD and some countries get in free.
