Hello group! My 60 day extension will gonna expiere soon and i would like to apply for Thai marriage visa. From my understanding beside mariage certificate , tabien baan, photos, do i need to have 400k THB in my thai bank account for at least 2 months prior requesting the visa ?

I have been talking with a visa company (pick up point from Tesco Onut), that can do trips to Laos Savannakhet , they say that no need to show 2 months bank statement with 400k THB , just having a thai bank statement with 400k (no matter the period of time). Is this true ? Anyone in the same situation ?

Also if you can recommend me in PM about reliable visa service companies , i highly appreciate !!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification on the requirements for applying for a Thai marriage visa (Non-O) after their 60-day extension is about to expire. They mention needing the marriage certificate, tabien baan, and photos, along with a possible 400,000 THB bank balance requirement. Responses indicate that there is no financial requirement for applying for a Non-O visa in Savannakhet, but there may be requirements for in-country applications. Discussion also touches on visa services, suggesting that a bus can be taken to Savannakhet rather than using a visa service.

No need for visa service company just get a normal bus.

The border bus is 50 baht into savannaket bus station .

Can walk to embassy from there.

If on Monday go real early better to go Tues or Wed. Stay one night in hotel pick up passport next afternoon.

I'm in savannaket now

You’re mixing up the requirements for a Non O based on marriage being applied for in Thailand and applying for one in Savannakhet.

In Savannakhet there is no financial requirement. You apply for a year long Non O multiple entry visa and pay 5,000 baht. Each entry you get stamped in for 90 days and you have to leave and re enter to get the next 90 days.

To get the Non O in country you need the 400k in a Thai bank account. There is no requirement to have it “seasoned” for two months prior at most offices (Jomtien is possibly the exception). When you go to apply for your yearly extension then that’s when you need to have it seasoned for two months prior.

thanks very much for your answer. Now it’s more clear in my head . About my situation: being that my time is to short ( extension will expire in early August ) I will apply for a Non O multiple entry visa in Savannakhet. Having this type of visa , later on can I apply inside Thailand for a Non O visa ? ( I don’t want to exit and entry the country every 90days)

You would already have a Non O visa so you wouldn’t apply for one in Thailand. You can at any stage apply for a year extension of stay based on that Non O visa provided you meet the financial requirements for it.

There is no financial requirement for a Non-O (marriage) from Savannakhet, I got the multi-entry in January, Ask your Immigration Office for their requirements as the initial Non-O doesn't usually require the funds to be seasoned.

I entered on a Tourist Visa and left before day 60 to get my Non-O and get stamped in on re-entry for 90 days.

Sorry man, Ive only seen one other reference to using that office to avoid the financial requirements and the guy didn't respond when I asked for more details.

is part of the switch to marriage visa a border bounce?

Yes, Savannakhet sell the multi-entry Non-O (marriage) for 5000B which gives you 90 days per entry.
