TLDR : Answer Summary
The experience at the Savannakhet Consulate is generally considered to be more relaxed and less busy compared to Vientiane. Visa requirements can vary slightly, especially for different types of visas like the NON-O or tourist visa. Important documents for applying at Savannakhet include a bank statement, hotel confirmation, and a return ticket. The processing time is usually efficient, with many applicants suggesting a two-day turnaround for visa collection if all documents are in order.

if you have all the documents, no problem and fast. Most are not so many people. 2 days for the visa but plan. Hand in papers in the morning and pick up from midday on the other day.

Best option is to start your own topic to avoid confusion with the request in this topic. Visa and Extension of Stay are two total different things.

The diffrensce: Extension of Stay based on Marriage you do at your local Immigration Office, there you do not need a Visa Application form but the TM 7 form, Application for Extension of Stay.

From what point of view? They do have different requirements for different visas. Both are user friendly.
