I have two passports and I guess this is common to have dual nationality, do you know if I can use them interchangeably to enter Malaysia by air for visa bounce and visa run? As I saw in somewhere before that Malaysia does not recognize dual nationality, would they reject me to enter with passport B if they already have a record of me entering by passport A before? Thanks all !

What about having / travelling to Thailand with 2 valid passports?

So, I am about to get a second passport. Any gotchas or potential upsides?

Sure, I am aware that I would have to stick to using either one of them for each trip into Thailand. But I am asking myself a couple of related questions:

Any legal obstacles of possessing and carrying two valid passports while entering Thailand?

Any potential upsides? My primary passport is half covered with Thai stamps (including some COVID extensions). So, on my most recent entry they shook me down for bribery money at the border. So, if I entered with my second, fresh passport, could I expect that border crossing to be more smoothly? Would they be likely to even notice I am the same person?

Would a second passport effectively enable one to do more border runs per year?

Who has got experience of entering / staying in Thailand making use of two passports?

Cheers.

Hi all. I have citizenship in 2 countries (dual citizen) and I have a question about changing passports to enter Thailand. For several years I entered Thailand (for tourism) on my non-EU passport. In 2021, I changed my permanent address to a country inside the EU. From now on, I would like to enter Thailand on my EU passport, which I have never used to enter Thailand before. Since I have a record of entering Thailand (over several years) on my non-EU passport, will there be a problem at Thai airport immigration if I now started using a different passport (i.e. EU passport) to enter Thailand? I’d be grateful for any advice.

Hello there.

i’m a bit worried now i’ve joined this group and read all this stuff.

So i came to Thailand in Jan 2018, i got a 60 day visa from the embassy in London and only stayed for 60 days. I then left Thailand for 2 months and returned getting a 30 visa on arrival at BKK airport and extended that at immigration by 30 days. i left after these 60 days, spending 5 months out of the country. i retunrned and did the same; 30 day visa on arrival + 30 days extension. This time i only left for 2 days before doing the same. I then left for 2 months before returning to the present day now.

so i’m now leaving shortly after another 60 days and going back to the UK. I’ve made an appointment to get a 60 day visa from the embassy in London, which i plan on getting a 30 day extension when i reurn. After this i shall leave Thialand and hopefully get my last 60 day visa in the most convenient country to spend my final 90 days in Thailand before leaving for good.

I’m concerned as i have an apartment here with loads of stuff and my Mum is coming to visit me during my last 3 months here and i’m worried i may not be allowed back in when i leave Thailand for my last visa.

I actually have 2 passports, an Irish and English. I really only use my Irish but was thinking maybe on my last trip out seeing if i could get an entry/exit stamp to whatever country I go to get my final visa and use this English passport to enter Thailand my final time. This way immigration wouldn’t see my Irish passport with loads of Thailand entries. (this isn't the main question, but could i leave Thailand and get an exit stamp on my Irish passport and then enter say Vietnam/Nepal with my English passport)

Do you think i might face problems entering Thailand this last time? When people say they have been refused enrty because of multiple visas, often it doesnt state how may visas this means.

I dont want to be stuck out the country with all my stuff here and my Mum waiting for me 😂😂

Guys with 2 passports who report their address using the TM30 form, do any of you rotate your passport? Is it any problem registering your address with 2 different passports?
