Will using my EU passport instead of my non-EU passport to enter Thailand cause issues at immigration?

Hi all. I have citizenship in 2 countries (dual citizen) and I have a question about changing passports to enter Thailand. For several years I entered Thailand (for tourism) on my non-EU passport. In 2021, I changed my permanent address to a country inside the EU. From now on, I would like to enter Thailand on my EU passport, which I have never used to enter Thailand before. Since I have a record of entering Thailand (over several years) on my non-EU passport, will there be a problem at Thai airport immigration if I now started using a different passport (i.e. EU passport) to enter Thailand? Iโ€™d be grateful for any advice.

TLDR : Answer Summary
This post discusses the implications of switching from a non-EU passport to an EU passport for entering Thailand. The consensus from the comments is that as long as the traveler uses the same passport for both entry and exit, there shouldn't be any issues at immigration. It's noted that Thailand recognizes individual countries, not the EU as a collective, and the traveler should adhere to any visa rules pertaining to the passport being used.

there is no problem as long as you use the same passport to enter and exit. Don't ever change passports while you are inside the country. Otherwise just follow the visa advice for the passport you are using.

There is no EU passport.

Just to advise, Thailand doesn't recognise "EU" passport. Thai foreign affairs and Thai immigration recognise only countries, so each EU country is treated as a stand-alone entity

Should not be a problem as long as you ENTER and EXIT Thailand with the SAME passport.

Ignore the pedantic comments. Even if it isn't the correct turn of phrase, we all know what you mean by "EU passport". ๐Ÿ™„

r is exactly right, so long as you enter and exit Thailand on the same passport, no issue from Thai immigration's perspective.
