Hi look forward to your advice. I will need to apply for a new TR visa soon and plan to do it in Vientiane. This would be my 3rd TR visa and 2nd time to apply in Vientiane. Will they grant me a 3rd TR visa in a row? Would it be an issue to apply in Vientiane again or should I apply from a country where I have never applied before?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice about applying for a third consecutive TR visa at the Thai consulate in Vientiane. They inquire if this would raise concerns with the consulate, especially since they have applied there before. Comments suggest that while two previous TR visas might not raise issues, applying for a third in a row could lead to a warning stamp, potentially complicating future visa applications. Recommendations include considering other consulates to avoid possible complications.

3 SETVs at Vientiane might bring up a red stamp, or you might be lucky. 2 should be OK or try a different consulate.

And why would you hit the Vientiane thai consulate over and over like that for tourist visas?

You're just asking to get the red warning stamp and that will affect you getting a visa from other consulates too.

I''d go to a different consulate for a new tourist visa just to be safe.

I still wouldn't hit the same consulate like that. There're a half dozen consulates within a couple hours flight from here.. There's just no reason to keep going to the same one over and over.

The Thai consulate usually use the warning stamp if they think you have to many Tourist Visa from them. The stamp is only a warning that next application for Tourist visa there could be denied. As long as you do not have this warning stamp you can use them.
