Greetings from USA… Doing a SEA trip hopefully by end of March and having some visa questions… Plan is to do the PI for 28 days then to Thailand on the 30 day visa and get 30 day extension. Then want to head into Laos / Cambodia for several weeks or a month then back into Thailand for another 30 + 30… Is this allowed? Because I am trying to remain fluid with my schedule not really wanting to do the tourist visa. Legitimate educated advice please…

Hello, I need advice regarding long-term stay in Thailand. I'm from the Czech Republic (. Europe) and plan to spend at least 5 months annually in Thailand, where I'd like to purchase a condo. I want to stay 5 months in Thailand and the rest of the year traveling in Asia (Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, etc.), with Thailand as my main base. I'm not over 50, don't have a wife in Thailand, and Elite visas are too costly for me. 😊 How can I legally secure this stay without frequent trips back to the Czech Republic? Thank you for any advice and experiences.

Jomtien immigration have issued all queue tickets for 30 day extension today.

People now being turned away and asked to return tomorrow.

If anyone still needs to apply then I would advise to arrive very early. Long queue outside.

Are people finding that Penang is getting stricter with issuing tourist visas? I was thinking of going there (my first time there) next month, but based on a quick search of the group it seems that people were issued warning stamps even without multiple visas? Curious if that's the case.

If so, where might you recommend instead? I've been to Vientiane so I'd prefer somewhere else, and need a relatively short plane ride due to an injury.

Last question -- has anyone in Chiang Mai gotten the medical extension on their visa (sorry, don't know the specific name)?
