TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking alternatives to the fiancé visa for their girlfriend who is interested in visiting the USA. The community suggests primarily the tourist visa, while emphasizing the importance of demonstrating strong ties to Thailand to increase her chances of approval. Factors include having a job, assets, a proper itinerary, and prior travel history. Several comments highlight the challenges concerning tourist visa applications, notably the scrutiny around the applicant's background and the public perception of certain occupations. Advice includes possibly using an agent and being prepared for rigorous interviews.

Everyone wants to go to America … USA I’m assuming you mean ?
You have asked about visa for her before , so the usual - try and get tourist visa … good luck during covid , enter USA , get married and wait for the immigration visits etc 6 months normal 1-2 years now … without green card no work . Is she age Appropriate? Do you have sufficient income and decent living in the USA? Or will she arrive to you bring not the vision of wealth she imagined ? She will be lonely , thais are tied to family and sangha , she will be cold … but lonely is the word I hear most often amongst the wives I know . Back to working - her education is meaningless on some levels and she will be starting at low levels of what ever she does and very low wages . You find many of the ‘ wives ‘ of farang drift secretly into massage parlors once the marriage fails . Is her English good? Does she have special knowledge skills ? Otherwise she will
Slowly drift into restaurant work, childcare etc … making little, resenting the disconnect , unable to send money home to make merit …
But your question is more innocent - you want to know how to visit to see America .. a tourist visa period …with covid raging , staff at state swamped - good luck … I imagine she wants a better life and the promise of America is her dream … call
Embassy find out what they are doing these days - I brought my Thai wife and baby in easy and green card no problem all smooth like clockwork - it helped we had been married with kids and I was known to embassy staff .. I’ve seen a lot of disappointment in Thai women with farang husbands over the years … hopefully you have solid foundations and a good income that can support two people etc … good luck - it’s a process… patience
Tourist visa will give her 6 months and maybe even a vaccine.

It helps to have an agent to apply for a tourist visa. Years ago, I used Siam Legal to get my former gf a tourist visa. I want to use them again to get my fiancee a tourist visa but they told me about a month ago that the consulate aren't approving them at this time.

Agents are a hindrance and unnecessary expense. I’ve successfully obtained two tourist visas for separate Thai ladies. It’s common sense.
the usefulness of an agent is the guidance that they give. They’ll coach the applicant on what to say and what documents to give. But if you think you know more than they do, then don’t use one.
I live in the USA and I would be the one inviting her
I’ll wait until like October than look into it.

The big thing the embassy is concerned about is if she has enough reasons to return to Thailand after her vacation, and not just stay in the US. Owning property in her name goes along way, as does having a good job. The one thing that will get her denied, even if she is married to you, is if she has ever been documented as being in the beer bar/gogo industry, and some massage parlors, like the soapies. That is an automatic rejection. The application process, and interview can take over a year in many cases, if she's never been out of Thailand.
have assisted a couple of my staff with US visas in past. Now very difficult.
As previous link said " any hint of bar massage etc " rejection.
You need airline reservation .if you schedule interview same date as travel approval rate higher.

We found it hard to get US tourist for my Mrs. If your GF has a job and a letter from employer allowing time off, that would be a good start. Full itinerary including booked accommodation and or letters from family in US inviting you both to events and offer of accommodation. She will be interviewed without you, so she also needs to know something about where she is going, expectations etc' and her English will be scrutinized, they are tough !. Then she needs to prove her own funds. If she has never had visas for any other country or travelled at all, her chances are very low. My Mrs already had previous visas for UK, OZ and Schengen and was initially denied at the desk, she did not give up and she got the visa without a denial stamp in the end. If you do get a denial stamp, it makes it much harder to get a visa later. Good luck.

I will tell you this...when we did the fiancé visa for my wife the day she did the interview at the embassy 100% of the ladies that were trying to get tourist visas (that she saw) were denied. A couple doing fiancé visas were denied too.
We applied for hers in May and in August it was done. This was 2014-2015 though so it’s obviously different now.
