TLDR : Answer Summary
After entering Thailand on a tourist visa twice this year and extending both times, you have several options. One common suggestion is to apply for a 60-day tourist visa and potentially extend it, which is often seen as more economical and convenient than multiple border runs. Additionally, if you're considering traveling out of Thailand, it's feasible to apply for a new visa at a nearby country, such as Malaysia, as long as you schedule an appointment and allow time for processing. Ensure you understand the limits on visa exemptions and entries based on your mode of entry, whether by land or air.

When going to Thailand for 31 - 60 ( 90 )days, the 60 days touristvisa is the best option.

It is cheaper than visa excempt + 30 days extension.

No need of a onward ticket ( 90 days 1 onward ), if returnticket within 60 days.

It is easier to apply from the comfort of your home.

Not wasting holiday time to find, go to and waiting at a immigration office ( 90 you would need that ).

Then no need to leave Thailand in up to 90 days.

I’m in the exact same position. I’ve entered the country on a 30 day visa exemption twice. Extended twice, done a Land border bounce and an air border bounce. Im ready to leave for KUL for my next border bounce. Can I apply for a 60 day visa in KUL?

How did you enter the country? You can only enter visa exempt 2 times by land. If you haven't used that up then use a border bounce company or get a visa in a nearby country but don't fly

2 times by land,, How is it if you enter by plane?

there are no rules governing entry by air but you are much more likely to get pulled aside and questioned if entering by air, particularly if you've already had a couple of visa exempt entries recently

How did you “extend”? What makes you think you need to do a border run?

What are you asking? Your question doesn't make sense.

You aren't even asking to do anything in your question.

If you want to enter the country again then you enter the country. A border run is entering the country?

Reduce the number of border crossings by 33 %, by applying for 60 days touristvisa + 30 days extension, and save money in the proces.

Can you get the 60 day tourist visa and extend, then go travel for a week/month and come back and get another 60 day tourist visa again?

the Thai consulates in neighboring countries have stopped giving Back to Back Tourist Visas you’ll have to go to different consulates and that’s no guarantee you won’t get denied entry you’ll need the proper visa to stay long time in the kingdom

you need to get the 60 day TV at a consulate outside of Thailand. Then yes, you can just return for another 90

The visa (+extension) is used when you leave Thailand.

So next time you travel to Thailand is a new entry, but you can have difficulties by applying for Touristvisa if you don’t come from you country of residence, but perhaps visa excempt + extension will be enough 2. time
