TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks advice on visa options in light of the non-O marriage visa no longer being available. They inquire about alternatives for staying in Thailand related to family and retirement. Responses suggest applying for a 90-day single entry Non-O visa based on family, which can later be extended, or other options through nearby countries like Laos or Vietnam.

I’m planning on getting the same in the USA soon. Is the multi entry not available anymore?

A year-long, multi-entry O-A (Long Stay) visa based on retirement would be far and away superior to a year-long multi-entry O visa based on marriage (note there is no A after that ;) )..

That's because IF you get an O-A you get stamped in for a whole year where as with a regular O you only get stamped in for 90 days at a time..

Use search box on top of forum... Enter O-A visa USA. Many helpful posts will appear to assist you.

then when you are next in the USA, get the O-A NonImmigrant multientry visa for retirement. It will give you up to two years of stay in Thailand. NO money needs to be banked in a Thai bank. Easy to obtain. I got my O-A last November from Los Angeles Thai Consulate. I highly recommend LA to you.

how many months and times are you in Thailand each year?

you could get a 90 day single entry Non-O from the consulate in London under the visit family (seeing as you have a thai wife ;) )

Then you could extend that here for a year by meeting the financial requirements at the immigration office

OR

you could just come in on a 30 day visa exempt entry when you return and then go to the thai consulate in Savannakhet Lao or HCMC Vietnam and get a year long, multi-entry Non-O based on marriage with no proof of funds.

You had a multi entry non O based on marriage from the UK? I believe you can apply for the same visa in Savanakhet, Laos.

You can get either Single Entry Non-O, then near the end of the 90 days do the Savanakhet visa run if you do not want to keep funds in Thailand.
