I am going through the process at the moment to bring my gf ( common law) to Canada on a tourist visa and strap on your boots because it's not an easy task. I hired an immigration lawyer in Canada and after nearly 2 months and nearly 2000$..i am in the waiting stage for an approval..or refusal. As Steve mentions, i think most immigration have their opinion of thai ladies and the success rate is very low...and remember, no agent or lawyer can guarantee you a visa.
lol I heard its difficult a friend of mine tried to get one years ago in Singapore even she owned her own flat in Singapore which is not cheap they wouldnt give her one. They got married in the end, then divorced
Do it yourself ,they have to fill the same forms in and your girlfriend will have probably have to go to Bangkok for biometrics with the paperwork. Only your girlfriend will be allowed in , no prompting is allowed.
Do it yourself. All forms on line. Helped twice years ago. Both successful. Advice, sched interview for day of flight, never mention a bar , best she own house or land.
If you are American and I think you are, the chances of getting a tourist visa to America for the average Thai lady is about 0.1%. When my wife did her interview for our fiancé visa there was 20-30 ladies doing interviews. When it was all said and done (she was one of the last) 0 applying for tourist were approved 2-3 for fiancé were. Most came out crying.
If she has money, kids, and established business she might get one. But average bar girl, mall lady, retail worker…not happening.
It helps if the Thai lady has ties thst will ensure that she will return to Thailand. Owning her own home or farm, having a long term lease on a rental property, having a full time job with a letter showing approval of leave will all help obtaining approval.
