TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers from Argentina can enter Thailand visa-free for 90 days under a bilateral agreement. However, it is important to note that this entry stamp cannot be extended. If you need more time, your only options are to leave Thailand and return, which can be done via a 'border bounce' or to apply for an extension that, if approved, only grants an additional 7 days before you must exit the country. Always double-check your entry stamp at immigration, as errors can occur.

Lately i did meet a guy from Argentina who only got a 30 days visa exempt stamp. He did not know about the 90 days bi-lateral agreement and did not check/ask about it at the entry immigration. Always good to immediately check your stamp. Immigration officers can make mistakes.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS look at your stamp immediately upon getting your passport back. And of course, know in advance what you should be getting.

, Totally right. And you need to be aware of what type of entry you are eligible for.

That is a good example. Argentinian passports are NOT eligible for visa-exempt entries. Technically he is staying in Thailand illegally if his Argentinian passport was stamped for 30 days visa-exempt. Better (need to) get the stamp corrected immediately.

People from FIVE countries; Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and South Korea, get 90 day free entry under the visa waiver program (it's a bi-lateral agreement that lets thaiz in to those countries for 90 days)

You CANNOT get any extension on that stamp other than the "application for extension NOT approved" stamp for 1900baht which gives you 7 days to get out of thailand AND which starts on the date you apply for it (it is not added to your current stamp expiration date.

You can fly out/back OR do a "border bounce" <- go to the border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in-n-out of another country and then stamp right back into thailand to get a NEW free 90 day entry stamp without much problem

IF you are going to border bounce by land use a service that takes you to the border gets you out and back.

DO NOT think you're going to save any baht by bouncing yourself or if you pick the wrong border or catch a crossing guard in the wrong mood you will cause more problems than you can imagine.
