Do I need to file a 90-day report if I'm leaving Thailand shortly after my 90-day stay?

Hi everyone. I am wondering about the 90-day report...

August 27th will mark my 90 days here in Thailand, but I am actually leaving the country on August 30th. Do I still have to file a 90-day report or would it be ok not to, since I'm leaving soon?

,

I know that when you are filing for a 90-day report, you can file it up to 15 days before or 7 days after your 90th day. So I am just curious if I still have to do it or not, or will I get in trouble? I really appreciate anyone's insight on this. Thank you! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the necessity of filing a 90-day report, as they would complete 90 days in Thailand but leave three days later. The consensus from comments indicates that filing is required legally, even if the departure is imminent, and failing to comply could lead to complications upon return or other issues with immigration.

Would absolutely follow every law and rule when being guest in another country where I want to come back to, even when it is inconvenient.

Thanks for your responses. I was just kind of hoping I didn’t have to to save me the time from going to immigration but yes, the law is the law and it’s a small inconvenience to pay for getting to live in a beautiful country like Thailand 🇹🇭

Anonymous participant In practice nobody ever gets pulled for it. However, if the IO did want to find something on you then you left the door wide open.

Legally, you are required to fill it out. The

-day window is the time frame in which you must do so not a way to avoid it. By failing to submit it, you are simply not complying with the law.
