TLDR : Answer Summary
Failing to complete the 90-day reporting on a DTV visa in Thailand typically results in little to no immediate consequences upon exiting the country. Most expats report that airport immigration officers do not check the reporting status when leaving. However, there could be a fine of 2000 THB if one attempts to renew the visa or interacts with immigration services afterward. Opinions vary, and while some share anecdotes of no repercussions, others stress potential fines if not reported.

I know exactly what will happen to you. Overstaying your 90-day check-in on a DTV visa in Thailand by 30 days will result in a fine of 500 Thai Baht per day of overstay!!! up to a maximum of 20,000 Baht!!! and potentially a ban from re-entering Thailand for a period depending on the length of the overstay.

so basically you do NOT know exactly what happens. I rather hear first hand experiences from people on a DTV who missed a reporting than speculations but thanks for your input.

you are incorrect. you are talking about overstaying your visa. but a missed 90 day report is NOT overstaying. its just a failed reporting of your location. a small fine or none will happen. nothing serious. no one really cares.

I would go to the local immigration and pay the 2000 THB there. They won't red flag or do anything to you because you went to immigration voluntarily. But if you wait until you leave and you come across an officer who is having a bad day and doesn't like foreigners anyway, he will take the 2,000 baht fine and even red flag you. That doesn't mean they will not let you in again but they could ask you more questions than normal. Who would you pull out into an interrogation room ? A person who always followed the rules or people who had 90 days overdues ?

Nothing will happen. If you just leave the country then no problem, no one will ever check and there won't be a fine when leaving.

The problem only exists if you want to extend your visa at an immigration office in the country. Then they check and you pay 1900 baht fine if you did not do the report. I actually know several people on long term visa that never do the 90 day report and just pay the fine once a year.

1900 is the cost of an extension. Late 90-day report fine is 2000 baht.

Nothing will happen when you fly out. At your next interaction with immigration you might be fined, assuming they notice
