Hey everyone,

Needing some advice. I am currently in Thailand on a VOA. My exit date is 2/2/2023. I have a flight to Cambodia on 2/2/2023 via Phuket to BKK at 11:55pm lol - layover in BKK for 5 hours and flying to Phnom Penh at 7am on the 3rd. Will this give me some trouble coming back into Thailand as I technically won’t be out of Thailand until the 3rd. I don’t want to have to pay for an extension for 24 hours. Any advice on what I should do? Should I rebook my flights?

Thank you

So I have a question for my son ( he’s not on Facebook) He is heading for Thailand to do some extended travelling leaving May 9 from Canada. His plans were to get a multi entrance visa. But now he has to fly back in September to Canada for a wedding. He will then stay home for about a month or so and then will return to Thailand. We realize now that the multiple entry only lasts 6 months. So would it work for him to do a single entry for the first trip and then when he is home then reapply for a multiple entry so he can spend the extended time there?? He would do the 60 days and then extend it each time for another 30 to maximize his time. Also going to go to Cambodia after his first entry and will fly back from there. Thanks for any insight into this!

Need advice 🙏

Hello, I’m going to Thailand in early February with a return flight from Bangkok for the end of March, which is more than the 45 regulatory days. During this period, I only stay 3 weeks in Thailand and the rest in Laos and Cambodia. I applied for a tourist visa but they want accommodation reservations for half of the stay! How to get the visa and is it necessary since I don't stay 45 days in a row?

Thanks a lot for your advice 😊

Hello everyone, a small follow-up from my post 4 days ago.

Thank you this amazing group for helping me to avoid overstay because of incorrect information. (Thank you university)

I’ve visited my Immigration (Chaegnwattana) where a very kind old lady helped me to cancel my student visa and confirmed that I should fly out as there is not enough time for me to get married and start the process of non-Im O visa.

I’m flying out to Cambodia this Saturday morning and coming back on Monday. I have a few more questions.

I’m flying with my Fiancé if this makes any difference and the airport is Suvarnabhumi Airport.

In my passport I only have extensions of stay based on studying in University for bachelor’s degree and visa cancellation stamp.

I’m going to get 30 day visa exception stamp.

What I’ve prepared:

A ticket out of Thailand

20.000 Baht

Thai pass (in progress)

In addition

I have a letter from my fiancé stating that he asks me to come to get married with his address, ID card number, date and signature. ( someone has suggested that on my previous post, thank you )

The question is if I’m asked by immigration at the airport :

- Purpose of visit ?

What should I reply? As I understand the latter from my fiancé is an additional paper that I’ll show as evidence only if asked.

Should I reply that I’m here to get married and process my documents or not?

I’m very confused, I have no experience in this kind of situations. I always had my long term Student visa and entered with no questions.

Again thank you.

Hello, today I was by the immigration to extend my Covid Visa. They didn't extend and mean I have to leave. I asked for the 7 days stamp but they don't gave me. May I insist?

TM30.

I am planning a possible ride to Cambodia and on my return will be riding back through a few different provinces before returning to Chiang Mai.

I will be back in Chiang Mai approx 5 days or so after entering back into Thailand..which, takes me outside of the reporting period.

So, is there some way to not get penalised for not reporting within the designated time? I am not sure how to work that one out.

Any advice?

Thanks!
