Hi everybody. I am currently in Indonesia but need to get back to Thailand as I have a flight home from Bangkok to Europe in early July.
Are there any rumors circulating about Thailand opening their borders for foreigners (withour residence permit) in July?
Thanks in advance for any info ✌️

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses uncertainties regarding the reopening of Thailand's borders to foreigners without residence permits in July 2020. The general consensus from comments is that tourism entry is unlikely, with some speculations about strict regulations even for those with work permits. Several comments highlight the need for documentation, potential quarantine requirements, and the importance of having booked connecting flights or understanding airline policies for transiting through Bangkok.
If and only if you have obtained all boarding passes for all legs of flights and without reclaiming luggages in between, ie a checked-through flight to Europe, at the time when you depart from Indo ... otherwise, no chance u could transit in Thailand in early July
On the basis that I doubt there are any airlines flying Indonesia to Europe via Bangkok, except Thai who aren't currently flying, then I don't fancy your chances. Any flights from Indonesia directly to where you need to go in Europe?
Yes, seems there are flights from Indonesia to Europe but I'll have to cancel my original booking. And I also wanted to pick up some stored luggage in BKK but it seems this will have to wait indefinitely. 😕
This is complicated. If your ticket was booked seperate it maybe you cannot fly out as I have not read about any transit flights. I know Changi allows transit flights but I am skeptical about Bkk. Best to contact the airline you are booked on from Bkk. They should be able to tell you.
he says the flight is originating from BKK. He won’t be allowed out of arrivals (from wherever he’s flown in from) to check in for that flight. In fact it’s unlikely he will be allowed to board at all without documentation to do so. He’s not ‘in transit’ for a connecting flight.
you need to go to the Thai embassy where you are located now and let them know and they will tell you all the infos and paper work you need to get before re-entry
definately not had that from immigration October earliest so ive been told but with this government things can change overnight good luck hope things go well for you (and me)
