Will the date i start going from TVisa to Non O Visa make that in the future it will always have to be extended in the same month ?

Let me explain: Phitsanulok Immigration .

If i start TVisa to Non O Visa on 1 September i will normally get the first 3 months Non O on 22 september.

Will this mean that i will always have to be in Thailand in December to get the year extension?

Can the date be made earlier or later ?

Thanks for all the fantastic help we all get here.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When transitioning from a TVisa to a Non O Visa, your yearly extension will typically align with the date you apply for the Non O Visa. For example, if you apply for your Non O Visa in September, your first extension will be due in December, and future extensions are likely to follow the same schedule in December. You cannot adjust the due date to be earlier or later; however, it is possible to apply for a renewal 30 days before your current extension expires. Some individuals have reported successfully applying for an extension as much as 45 days early.

45 days earlier possible. I did it this year exact 45 days earlier, in Hua Hin.

which still doesn't change the date the extension expires ๐Ÿ˜• just the date you can apply for it ๐Ÿ™‚

correct. I have this problem too. My due date is mid March, a month I do not want to be in TH every year. But I have to restart the process to change the date. I hope for new visa procedures beginning 2025 if the EU/EFTA gets FTA agreements with TH. If.

, not all immigration offices accept extension applications 45 days in advance. Most offices allow you to apply for an extension within the last 30 days.

I believe 30 or 45 days may vary with each different immigration office. He would need to confirm with his local immigration office.

I wouldn't try to parse it out too closely

Just count on it being about 3 months from the date you apply for the Non-O

So apply in Sept, your 90 days will be up in Dec, and your yearly extension will always be due that time.

At most offices you can apply when you have 30 days or less left on your current year extension so you can apply in Nov.

If you need it to come due at another time, you'd exit the country without a re-entry, come back in and start the process over when the time line better fits when you're here.
