Can I renew my Non-O Retirement Visa in Thailand earlier than its expiration date and change the expiry date?

I have a Non O Retirement Visa that expires the 20 of July. I have heard that I can renew the visa 30 or even 45 days before (for Bangkok residents), can somebody kindly confirm this time frame? Do I have to go to Chaeng Wattana as usual?

For me to renew it in June is not comfortable, as I like to go back to Europe every year at the beginning of May (and come back at the end of October). Do you know if I can move or change my visa expiry date from July to May so every year I can go to immigration to renew it just before to go back to Europe?

Thank you for your informations.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can renew your Non-O Retirement Visa in Bangkok 45 days before its expiration date, which means you can apply after June 5th for your July 20th expiration. However, you cannot change the expiration date to May; the renewal will retain the same expiration date as your current visa. If you need to be out of the country by May, consider letting your current visa expire without a re-entry permit and then applying for a new Non-O visa from your home country or entering Thailand on a visa-exempt basis.

In Bangkok you can apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp. So in your case you can apply any time after June 5th

Unfortunately you can't move the renewal date AND the extension you apply for (even if you apply 45 days early) is dated the same as your current expiration date

The only thing to do would be to leave without a re-entry permit, let it cancel and then either get new Non-O in your country before you come back or come back here on a visa exempt and start the whole process over. There is no way to "adjust" your expiration/renewal date other than that
